Frequently Asked Questions

From reservations and kimono dressing to returns,
we’ve put together answers to our most frequently asked questions.

Reservations, Changes & Cancellations

Can I rent a kimono without a reservation?

Yes, walk-in rentals are available. However, we recommend booking in advance, as waiting times may be longer on busy days. Customers with reservations will be served first.

Can I change my plan on the day?

Since kimonos are generally selected at the store on the day, you may change your plan unless a specific kimono has been reserved in advance.

Can I reserve a kimono?

Currently, only homongi and furisode can be reserved, with a limit of one kimono per person.
If you change your selection on the day, please choose a kimono of the same or higher price.
You may contact customer service to ask which store has your preferred kimono. However, availability cannot be guaranteed due to rentals or transfers between stores.

What should I do if I am late?

If you may arrive late, please contact customer service or the reserved store as early as possible. Kimono selection, dressing, and hairstyling usually take 1–1.5 hours, or 1.5–2 hours during busy periods. Late arrival may affect the service order and your later plans.
If you have booked photography, your shooting time may be rescheduled. Customers who arrive on time may be given priority depending on the day’s schedule.

About photography cancellations

All times are based on Japan Standard Time (GMT+09:00).
Photography bookings close at 5:00 p.m. the day before, and cancellations must be made by 6:00 p.m. two days before. For customer-requested cancellations or changes from the day before, including the appointment day, the deposit and photographer selection fee are non-refundable. Please check the photography booking page for details.

About kimono experience cancellations

As staff are arranged in advance, please do not cancel without notice. To cancel your reservation, please contact customer service or email us in advance.

Arrival, Dressing & Hairstyling

What should I wear on the day?

Please come in comfortable clothing. No special preparation is required. In winter, we recommend a warm inner layer with a neckline below the collarbone so it will not show under the kimono.

How long do kimono dressing and hairstyling take?

From arrival to kimono dressing and hairstyling, the full process takes about 1–1.5 hours. (Makeup requires an additional 20–30 minutes.) During peak seasons, please allow about 1.5–2 hours. Timing may vary depending on your kimono and hairstyle, so we recommend allowing extra time.

Can I choose my own obi and bag?

You may freely choose from the obi and bags available in the store. Our staff can also help you coordinate them. With the premium accessory plan, you can also mix and match various lace accessories.

Can I bring my own kimono for dressing?

We are sorry, but we currently do not offer dressing services for customers’ own kimonos. Thank you for your understanding.

Can I get hairstyling with short hair?

Hairstyling may be possible, depending on your hair length and condition. Our staff will check it on the day.
If styling is not possible, hair accessories are available for rent at ¥550 each, including tax.

Can I wear a kimono while pregnant?

For your safety, we are unable to provide kimono rental or dressing services during pregnancy.
*Please inform us in advance if you are pregnant. If this is not disclosed and any illness or accident occurs, the store cannot accept responsibility.
